The German central editorial office in Berlin is also the headquarters of AFP GmbH, which is responsible for Germany and a 100% subsidiary of AFP-Paris. On the market since 1987, it offers services tailored to its German-speaking subscribers: fast, short reports keep readers informed around the clock about important political, economic and other events. Newspaper editors receive balanced summaries to the main editorial deadlines. Analysis and background reports help to prioritise top events. Photographers, often award-winning, show the people and places in the international public eye. For photos in Germany, AFP world service works with the agency ddp. Every day, up to ten information graphics provide visualisation of the AFP's German texts. Texts for multimedia providers are illustrated with photos and, often, animated graphics. Since spring 2007 AFP has also been offering video news for web portals. A dozen French and several English-speaking correspondents and photo editors work for the world service at the AFP Bureau de Berlin.
